The Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Crafts Institute (IVBAM) is organizing the second edition of the Marathon of Arts & Crafts on September 19th, from 10 AM to 6 PM. The event aims to celebrate regional craftsmanship, bringing together artisans, creators, and the public for a day dedicated to this sector.
Following its first edition in 2025, the initiative returns with a more informal, open-air format held in the courtyard of the IVBAM building. The program includes practical workshops, live craft demonstrations, music, and an exhibition and sale of regional products.
Visitors will have the chance to learn about and try various artisanal production techniques, aiming to introduce younger generations to Madeiran know-how and highlight the work of sector professionals. The IVBAM's shop and permanent exhibition will also be open to the public free of charge during the event.
