A total of 51 teachers from Madeira have accepted placements on the Portuguese mainland. This situation is raising concerns about the management of teaching human resources in the region.
The Secretary of Education, Elsa Fernandes, warned that these departures are creating pressure on the system. Of the 31 schools affected by these transfers, 15 are from the 1st Cycle of Basic Education.
