APRAM begins dredging Boaventura Recreational Port to ensure safety

The Ports Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APRAM) began dredging works this week at the Boaventura Recreational Port Quay, in Santa Cruz.

The project, budgeted at 44,000 euros plus VAT, aims to restore the safety and operational conditions of the infrastructure, with the work expected to take approximately 10 days.

The removed material, about two thousand cubic meters of rounded stones, will be reused to reinforce the Machico waterfront, specifically at São Roque Beach, following a request from the Machico Municipal Council and a favorable opinion from the Regional Directorate of Environment.
