This year, the Feast of Our Lady of the Mount will be celebrated in a special way by the Bishop of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás, in Venezuela.
Amidst the country's crisis, D. Nuno Brás decided the celebration should not be confined to Madeira but held alongside the Madeiran and other Portuguese residents in Venezuela. He stated that rather than a distant remembrance via media, his physical presence aims to share their lives and impart hope to the community.
The Bishop requested prayers to accompany his journey and support the local Madeiran community, who, despite ongoing suffering, remain a testament to faith.
