The municipality of Ponta do Sol hosted the Civil Protection exercise ‘PROCIVRAM_26.5’ on Friday. The initiative aimed to test procedures, enhance coordination, and strengthen response capacity to emergency situations.
The Ponta do Sol Municipal Chamber deemed the exercise positive, assessing the coordination among various civil protection agents and identifying areas for improvement. Vice-president Lino Pita emphasized the importance of preparedness for real-life scenarios.
Multiple entities participated, including the Regional Civil Protection Service, firefighters, SESARAM, PSP, GNR, Armed Forces, Red Cross, SANAS, and the municipal services of Ponta do Sol and Calheta. The exercise reinforced institutional cooperation and team readiness.
