Weather forecasts for Madeira this Thursday point to a day with periods of heavy cloudiness, although the southern slopes of the island may be less cloudy until mid-morning.
According to the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), scattered light showers are expected, more likely on the northern slopes and highlands. Winds are forecast to be light to moderate, predominantly from the north.
Maximum temperatures are predicted to reach 29°C in Madeira and 28°C in Porto Santo, with lows of 23°C on both islands. In Funchal, the forecast is for partly cloudy skies with more cloudy periods between mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and light winds.
