Clube Naval do Funchal shone on the second day of the Astralpool National Championship for Youths, Juniors, and Seniors, held at the Jamor Swimming Complex.
The team won three medals and established four new regional records. Pedro Pita was the standout performer, becoming the senior national runner-up in the 50m backstroke with 26.09 seconds, also setting a new regional and absolute record of 25.98 seconds.
Zara Rojas took the senior silver medal in the 100m butterfly (1:02.13), and Tomás Gonçalves earned bronze in the 50m breaststroke (31.37), also setting a new regional record for Juvenil A (31.28).
Other notable results include David Rodrigues' fourth place in the 50m backstroke for Juvenil B (28.04), setting a new regional record, and Sofia Gomes' sixth place in the 50m backstroke (31.64). The youth mixed 4x100m medley relay team, consisting of David Rodrigues, Tomás Gonçalves, Vera Jesus, and Rafaela Costa, finished tenth, setting a new Madeira youth regional record (4:28.40).
