The cruise ship Amadea docked at Funchal Port this morning, carrying 530 passengers and 319 crew members. The vessel, managed by Blatas, will remain on the island for 34 hours.
Amadea entered the port at 7:45 AM, arriving from Ponta Delgada, and will spend the night in Pontinha. Departure is scheduled for Sunday at 5:00 PM, heading towards Lisbon. Part of the Phoenix Reisen fleet, the ship is on a 22-night cruise that began and will end in Bremen, Germany.
This marks the first overnight cruise ship call in Funchal for October, a month that kicks off the high cruise season with 33 scheduled stops and an estimated 75,000 passengers.
