The Bishop of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás, has made public the pastoral appointments for the 2026/2027 pastoral year. These decisions followed consultations with the episcopal council, the priests being appointed, and other pastoral leaders.
In a statement released by the Diocese of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás noted that these appointments do not exhaust all planned changes. He added that "other changes will follow, depending on the availability of priests and other diocesan collaborators."
The list details various changes in roles and new responsibilities for priests within the diocese, covering chaplaincies, parishes, and administrative positions within the Diocesan Curia.
