An 84-year-old woman was assaulted last night on Rua de Santa Maria, in the old town of Funchal. The alert was raised around 8:15 PM.
The victim, who sustained a head injury from a fall after allegedly being pushed, received assistance from the Madeirense Volunteer Firefighters and the PSP (Public Security Police).
After initial treatment, the elderly woman was transported to the hospital. The PSP is investigating the incident.
