More than 40 young people from Madeira, mainland Portugal, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Romania gathered at Praia Formosa in Funchal for a coastal cleanup and environmental awareness event.
The initiative, organized by the My Madeira Island association with support from the Regional Directorate of Environment and Sea, focuses on the environmental impacts of the fast fashion industry and waste management challenges in island regions. The event, funded by the EU's Erasmus+ program, also included an upcycling workshop and invasive species removal actions.
