Expo Sénior: Festival Cultural, promoted by the Funchal City Council through its Division for Longevity and Active Ageing, drew about 600 people to the Tecnopólo auditorium.
The celebration of the Month of the Elderly featured ten groups from municipal venues and invited institutions, with 210 participants on stage. Through dance, singing, theatre and poetry, they shared months of preparation and rehearsal.
In the opening session, councillor Helena Leal highlighted the event's value in celebrating longevity, talent and the desire to keep learning. She reaffirmed the Municipality's commitment to a city where everyone has a place, with dignity and equal opportunity.
