Thursday morning saw particularly heavy traffic on the island of Madeira.
Shortly before 8:00 AM, a congestion of approximately 5 kilometers had already formed on the express road.
The main bottleneck was in the Machico to Ribeira Brava direction, specifically between Cancela and Caniço, extending to the Pestana Júnior junction. Authorities advise cautious driving due to the volume of traffic in both directions.
