More than 760 residents of Ponta do Sol have benefited from health programs promoted by the Institute of Health Administration (IASAÚDE), representing an investment of over 235,000 euros. The largest portion of this amount, approximately 183,000 euros (78% of the total), was allocated to the Baby Kit Program, which supports families with hygiene products, vaccines, and other essential items for infants during their first year of life.
Other health programs also received significant funding. The '+Visão Seniores' (Senior Vision Plus) program, which subsidizes prescription glasses for the elderly, accounted for an investment of 30,000 euros. For younger individuals, the '+Visão Crianças e Jovens' (Children and Youth Vision Plus) program allocated over 18,000 euros for visual healthcare services. In oral health, the '+Sorriso' (Smile Plus) program invested 3,152 euros in orthodontic braces for children and adolescents.
The total investment detailed by IASAÚDE amounts to at least 234,152 euros, with the institute indicating an overall investment exceeding 235,000 euros. The release of this data coincides with the 525th anniversary celebrations of the Ponta do Sol municipality.
