JPP Youth Concerned Over National Exam Results Postponement

The Youth wing of the Juntos pelo Povo (JPP) party has voiced "deep concern" regarding the postponement of the national exam results for basic and secondary education, as announced by the Ministry of Education. The release of grades, initially scheduled for July 14th, has been pushed to July 17th due to problems with the new digital grading system.

JPP leader Jéssica Teles regretted that organizational failures are penalizing students, whose families and schools also bear the consequences. The situation is seen as particularly worrying for Madeira, where hundreds of young people leave the island for higher education, requiring logistical and financial planning that is hindered by the delay.

The JPP advocates for island students to be treated more fairly and for public education policies to consider the specificities of the Autonomous Regions. The party demands an investigation into the causes of the postponement, accountability, and the implementation of solutions to prevent similar occurrences.
