The Youth of Juntos Pelo Povo (JJPP) views the increase in criticism from the JSD as a "good sign," describing it as "attacks and public discomfort." This reaction follows statements from the JSD of Santa Cruz, which accused the JPP of "prioritizing the immediate and mortgaging the future."
Feliciano Nóbrega, vice-president of the JJPP, countered the accusations, asking the PSD to explain the "great financial mortgage they left Santa Cruz in" before criticizing the current administration. Nóbrega highlighted municipal investments in scholarships, medication support, and a minor surgery program, totaling over 4.4 million euros, stating these actions were carried out without increasing the tax burden.
The JJPP also criticized the exclusion of the Santa Cruz City Council and Parish Council from a visit by the Regional Government President to a construction site in Caniço, seeing it as a lack of respect for "difference of opinion" by the PSD.
