The Machico Theatre Group (GTM) has announced the latest edition of MachiCurtas, a short film competition aimed at promoting amateur and independent cinema in Madeira.
Filmmakers have until July 19 to submit their entries, with the rules available on the GTM's Facebook page. The screening and awards ceremony will take place on July 25 at 9:00 PM at the Fórum Machico.
The event, supported by the Regional Government of Madeira and the Machico Municipal Council, seeks to showcase the region's heritage through video and encourage cinematic experimentation. MachiCurtas is part of a trilogy of image-based communication projects, including MachiFoto and CineMachico.
