In June 2026, the airports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) handled 519,200 passengers, a year-on-year variation of -0.5%. The number of commercial aircraft also decreased by 2.4%, totaling 3,438 flights.
The Madeira Airport recorded 484,100 passengers (-1.1%) and 3,107 aircraft (-3.5%), while Porto Santo Airport saw an increase in traffic to 35,200 passengers (+8.6%) and 331 aircraft (+9.6%). For the first six months of 2026, Madeira's airports showed a 3.1% increase in passenger numbers and a 1.6% rise in aircraft movements.
International traffic grew by 1.3% in June, reaching 286,900 passengers, while domestic traffic fell by 2.7% to 232,300. The average aircraft occupancy rate at RAM airports was 88.4%, up from 86.4% in June 2025.
