The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the autonomous regions of Madeira and Porto Santo under a yellow warning.
This measure is in effect due to the forecast of hot weather, which is expected to continue until Wednesday.
The yellow warning is issued by IPMA when there is a risk to certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
