Child Support Technicians in the Autonomous Region of Madeira will hold a strike on July 20 and 21. The work stoppage was called by SINTAP Madeira, which claims the regional government has not honored its commitments regarding career development.
The union states that despite prioritizing institutional dialogue and presenting proposals, deadlines for updating the salary scale and revising job functions have passed without action. Demands include salary updates, correction of career transition injustices, and a review of assigned tasks.
Among other requests, SINTAP Madeira calls for updated regulations on staff ratios, the opening of recruitment processes, and measures to mitigate physical and psychological strain. The strike aims to dignify the profession and ensure the government fulfills its agreements.
