The Madeira Ladies Open returns to Funchal for its 7th edition, held on the courts of Quinta Magnólia from 15 to 22 November 2026. The event forms part of the World Tennis Tour international circuit in the W50 category, with $40,000 in prize money.
Some 65 players from 29 countries are entered. Portugal's Francisca Jorge and Matilde Jorge, ranked 239th and 242nd, are the leading seeds and among the favourites for the title. Switzerland's Valentina Ryser and the Dutch veteran Arantxa Rus, a former world top 50 player, are also expected to feature.
Madeiran players Madalena Fernandes and Francisca Marote are set to take part in the qualifying round. Fernandes recently won bronze at the SUB 16 masters in Monte Carlo.
