The 2026 Madeira Rally has begun with excitement and strong public turnout, marking the start of one of the most iconic national motorsport events.
The first day included the official start ceremony at Praça do Povo, the Super Special stage on Avenida do Mar, and the Shakedown in Água de Pena. Kris Meeke, driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, was the fastest in the Shakedown and took the lead after the Super Special stage, breaking his own 2023 record.
