The Governing Council of Madeira authorized an additional €525,000 for the acquisition of Ocean Technologies by the Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation (ARDITI). Furthermore, a co-operation agreement with the University of Madeira was amended, maintaining a maximum support of €188,904 for research linked to the Digital Manuals project.
In local development, the Executive approved financial reprogramming for the Landscape Rehabilitation of Housing project in Paúl do Mar, Calheta. For sports, €60,421.20 was allocated to regional sports development for clubs and associations, alongside up to €27,860 in support for the Portuguese Canoeing Federation's Madeira Ocean Challenge 2026.
Other decisions include a €20,000 co-operation agreement for the Quinta Pedagógica dos Prazeres, a €334,000 capital increase for CARM – Madeira Autonomous Region Slaughterhouse, and the free transfer of land for social housing. Procedures for leasing a warehouse and acquiring land for infrastructure in Funchal were also approved.
