A seismic event with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale was recorded early this morning, around 03:37 local time.
The earthquake's epicenter was located approximately 170 kilometers west of the island of Porto Santo, in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the earthquake caused no personal or material damage.
