Funchal port will welcome more than seven thousand people this Friday, with calls from the cruise ships Norwegian Star and Mein Schiff 7.
The Norwegian Star arrived at 9:00 with 2,212 passengers and 988 crew members and is due to stay until 19:00. It is part of an 11-night cruise between Barcelona and Lisbon, with stops in Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands.
The TUI Cruises ship Mein Schiff 7 docked at 13:00 with 3,930 people on board and will spend the night in the city. It is the first stop of a two-week voyage that began on 5 November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The ship brought its arrival in Madeira forward by one day to avoid storm Bruna.
