The organization of the Portuguese Food Festival in Jersey had to suspend the event this afternoon due to adverse weather conditions.
A vendor present told DIÁRIO that access to the park was closed because of the bad weather, specifically strong winds gusting up to 70 km/h. For safety reasons, the venue was shut down.
A new assessment is scheduled for 5 PM to determine if the festival can reopen. The event features participants such as the Calheta Folklore Group and Márcio Amaro.
