Various parishes in the Diocese of Funchal are celebrating devotion to Our Lady of Fátima, with events taking place today and tomorrow.
This year's celebrations gain new significance with the announcement of Pope Leo XIV's surgical intervention, leading the faithful to include prayers for his health. The Church of the College in Funchal will hold a mass followed by a candlelit procession on October 12th, starting at 8:00 PM.
Other parishes, such as Santa Maria Maior, are also organizing tributes to Mary, with the recitation of the Rosary, Eucharist, and procession, as well as the singing of the Farewell to Our Lady in front of the Church of Socorro.
