The Public Security Police (PSP) released data on road accidents in Madeira for the week of September 4th to 10th. During this period, a total of 74 accidents were recorded.
The incidents led to 21 minor injuries and one serious injury. Most accidents occurred in the Funchal municipality, followed by Santa Cruz. Collisions were the most common type, with 8 instances of vehicles leaving the road.
Furthermore, nine drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The PSP continues to warn about the dangers of drunk driving.
