Calheta beach once again served as the venue for a stage of the 2026 Regional Beach Volleyball Circuit. The 3rd Stage – Calheta saw the participation of 80 athletes, divided into 40 pairs across various competitive levels.
In the Senior Women's category, Mariana Santos and Marta Mendes emerged victorious, defeating Eunice Almeida and Érica Vieira in the final. For the Senior Men's category, Carlos Lezama and Pedro Vieira claimed the stage win against José Roque and Vicente Freitas.
Other categories also saw their finals played out, with wins for Rafaela Valente and Vanessa Burgos in the U16 Women's, and Augusto Santos and Hugo Mendes in the U18 Men's. The next stage of the circuit will take place in Porto Santo.
