Regional Government Allocates 45,000 Euros to Madeira Farmers Association

The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, this week formalized the allocation of 45,000 euros in financial support to the Madeira Farmers Association (AAM). The amount is intended to ensure the institution's operational continuity for the current year.

The contract-programme signing took place at the AAM headquarters. Founded in 1976 and recognized as a public utility institution since 2000, the association plays a significant role in defending farmers' interests. Nuno Maciel emphasized the importance of agricultural associations for strengthening the regional agricultural sector.

This funding will help cover the association's operating expenses, including facilities, essential services, and personnel costs. The regional executive continues its annual support for farmer associations, acknowledging their role in boosting the primary sector.
