Regional Government and Madeira Friends Sign Protocol for Youth Training and Digital Transition

A program contract has been signed between the Regional Directorate for Competitiveness, Innovation and Sustainability (DRCIS) and the Madeira Friends International Community Association (MFICA). The agreement focuses on youth training, digital transition, and strengthening the third sector.

The protocol integrates the MF Tech Lab and Madeira Pro Bono programs. MF Tech Lab is aimed at young Madeirans, promoting learning in technology, artificial intelligence, and digital product development, with the goal of stimulating entrepreneurship and preparing for a digital economy. The Madeira Pro Bono program will support third-sector organizations through the implementation of digital solutions and strategic technical assistance.

José Manuel Rodrigues, Regional Secretary for Economy, highlighted the importance of the partnership for innovation and for attracting and retaining human capital in Madeira, considering the region has a historic opportunity in the technological revolution.
