The Regional Secretary for Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues, congratulated the newspaper DIÁRIO on its 150th anniversary, highlighting its "impossible to write the history of Madeira without consulting DIÁRIO" importance.
Rodrigues described DIÁRIO as "one of the great reference institutions of our Region" and a symbol of tradition and modernity. He stressed that the newspaper has followed the archipelago's main events, recorded the aspirations of Madeirans, and contributed to the Region's affirmation.
The official wished that DIÁRIO continues its journey, embracing technological evolution without losing its founding values, maintaining awareness of its history and the freedom to face the future.
