SANAS Madeira has been honored with a European award in the field of maritime search and rescue (SAR – Search and Rescue), presented by Global Media Ltd of the United Kingdom.
The organization highlighted that this recognition stems from its team's work in recent years, a period during which its response capabilities were strengthened, making the structure "very effective".
This marks the second significant international distinction for SANAS Madeira, which two years ago was recognized as the search and rescue entity with the highest success rate in Europe. The organization expressed pride in the award, not just for itself, but also for the Autonomous Region of Madeira and for Portugal.
