SESARAM deactivates Child Support Line created during the pandemic

SESARAM will deactivate the Child Support Line, established in March 2020 to address pandemic-related needs.

The Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM, EPERAM) announced it will readjust its telephone support service in the Pediatrics area.

Consequently, the Child Support Line, created in March 2020 to respond to the needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, will be deactivated. SESARAM states that with this phase concluded and services normalized, the Service will resume its usual telephone support through emergency lines.

These lines have qualified professionals and validated clinical protocols to advise and refer pediatric patients to primary or hospital healthcare, according to their symptoms. The Pediatric Emergency Unit also offers in-person consultations for admitted acute patients.
