The start of the new school year in Madeira is already causing the usual traffic jams on the island's roads.
On the Via Rápida, specifically in the Cancela area, a congestion of about 2 km is forming due to intense traffic, worsened by a broken-down vehicle. The Santa Rita ascent and the Câmara de Lobos junction are also experiencing circulation difficulties.
These disruptions come after a period of greater morning calm and are expected to worsen in the coming days as the start of classes progresses in various schools on the island.
