Strong Earthquakes Shake Venezuela and Japan, Tsunami Alert Issued for Japan

Two strong magnitude earthquakes have been registered in different parts of the globe. One occurred off the coast of Venezuela with a magnitude of 6.8, and another on the east coast of Honshu, Japan, with a magnitude of 6.7.

In Japan, authorities issued a tsunami alert for the Pacific coastal area in the north of the country. The earthquake occurred off the coast of Kuji, Iwate Prefecture. While the tremor's intensity led to monitoring for potential coastal effects, no immediate reports of severe damage were noted.

Regarding Venezuela, official seismological portal Funvisis confirmed the event but did not provide detailed information on the time, depth, and epicenter of the 6.8 magnitude quake. The region has recently experienced seismic activity, including a 6.1 magnitude earthquake in the northwest, which was also felt in Colombia.
