SUPERNOVA wins the VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta after a close contest

The sailboat SUPERNOVA, skippered by Jorge Neves, secured overall victory in the ORC category of the VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta.

The VIII Porto Santo Line Regatta concluded this Sunday, following two legs between Madeira and Porto Santo. The sailboat SUPERNOVA, representing the Naval Club of Funchal and helmed by Jorge Neves, emerged as the winner in the overall ORC classification.

The second and final leg, connecting Porto Santo to Madeira, commenced at 12:05 PM from Porto Santo Bay. The event, organized by the Naval Club of Funchal and the Regional Sailing Association of Madeira, tested the navigation skills, strategy, and teamwork of the crews across both crossings.

In the overall ORC standings, GUANCHE, sailed by Fidélio Gomes (Naval Club of Funchal), took second place, while PRODIGAL DAUGHTER, skippered by Pedro Galvão, secured the third position. In the Promotion Class, FARAWAY, owned by Mircea Angrel (CAVMA), was the winner.
