Two tourists were photographed this morning resting in hammocks suspended from traffic signs beside a pedestrian crossing at Madeira Airport. The image, sent to the JM newspaper by a reader, shows the pair lying in the hammocks with their luggage nearby.

According to reports, they stayed there for some time. The scene drew the attention of passing pedestrians and drivers, some of whom were seen smiling at the unusual sight.
