The University of Madeira (UMa) is present at the Assembly of the Republic in Lisbon as part of the Autonomous Region of Madeira Week.
The initiative, integrated into the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Autonomy, aims to highlight UMa's role in the island's development through people's qualification, knowledge creation, and innovation. The showcase includes research projects, technologies, patents, and prototypes, emphasizing the university's capacity to generate knowledge with economic, social, and environmental impact.
Under the motto 'From Autonomy to Knowledge - Madeira 1976 → 2026 → 2076', UMa celebrates its journey and reaffirms science, innovation, and qualification as fundamental pillars for the Region's future. The delegation is led by rector Sílvio Moreira Fernandes.
