This Friday morning, October 2nd, began with significant congestion on the Via Rápida, heading from Machico to Ribeira Brava.
The heavy traffic, which has become common on weekdays, extended for about 4 km from Cancela. The situation was exacerbated by a broken-down vehicle reported shortly after 7:30 AM, contributing to delays and stop-and-go traffic.
Although the congestion appears to be easing, drivers are advised to exercise caution.
