A total of 112 trainees received certificates for completing 12 training courses focused on traditional Madeiran crafts.

112 Graduates Certified in Traditional Madeiran Craft Valorization Courses

A total of 112 trainees received certificates for completing 12 training courses dedicated to traditional crafts, in a ceremony held at the Electricity Museum – Casa da Luz.

The training, promoted by the Regional Secretariat of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Association of People's Houses of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ACAPORAMA), aimed to preserve traditional knowledge and qualify local agents.

Regional Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, highlighted the importance of crafts as cultural identity and the partnership with ACAPORAMA as strategic for safeguarding and developing traditional artisanal production.

Training offerings included areas such as Weaving, Madeira Embroidery, Corn Straw Figurine, Palmito, Dough Dolls, and Creative Sewing, in partnership with various People's Houses across the island. An exhibition of the trainees' work complemented the ceremony.
