The Regional Command of the PSP in Madeira celebrated its 148th anniversary at a ceremony held at the Madeira Press Museum in Câmara de Lobos. On the occasion, the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, praised the exemplary work of the police and assured the executive's continued support.
Albuquerque highlighted the trust and esteem the population has for the PSP, guaranteeing that the Regional Government will continue to provide the greatest possible support to the security forces. He also recalled the allocation of 40% of regional fine revenues to the PSP, which this year will fund the acquisition of 20 new vehicles and computer equipment, in addition to reiterating the willingness to assist in the construction of new police stations.
