The Chega party has once again raised questions regarding the accommodation of immigrant workers in a building in Campanário, which allegedly lacks a residential license.
According to the party, the same issue was addressed in 2024 when the Ribeira Brava Municipal Council confirmed approximately 50 people were sleeping there and ordered the cessation of its use. Despite being informed of the prohibition of overnight stays and the building being in the process of legalization, the situation remained the same in July 2025.
Chega questions the lack of a definitive solution and demands clear answers from the Municipal Council regarding the licensing process, the current number of residents, and the measures taken to resolve the issue, calling for clear rules and effective enforcement.
