On July 7th and 8th, the Dr. Eduardo Brazão de Castro Basic School with Preschool in Funchal hosted the 4th Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “My Robot, My LearnMate”. The event brought together representatives from various European countries to evaluate ongoing work, share pedagogical experiences with educational robotics, and define the project's next steps.
During the meeting, results from activities were analyzed, focusing on teacher and student involvement. Sessions included progress reports, best practice sharing, and discussions on strategies to enhance the use of the NAO humanoid robot in educational settings. A "focus group" on teachers' experiences with the robot facilitated reflection on how robotics can support learning and diversify teaching methods.
Results from an international satisfaction survey showed high satisfaction levels among participating teachers, who reported significant gains in technical and pedagogical skills. The Erasmus+-funded project aims to promote the integration of robotics and artificial intelligence in education, fostering digital skills and pedagogical innovation in European schools.
