The Municipal Chamber of Câmara de Lobos will distinguish 127 students from the municipality with the 'Joaquim Pestana' School Award. The initiative aims to recognize the effort, dedication, and success demonstrated throughout the 2025/2026 academic year.
The award ceremony will take place on September 11th at 7 PM at the Press Museum. The award covers students from primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary education, as well as those in Vocational Courses and Education and Training Courses, who will receive 50 euros for educational materials. The distinction also includes students supported by Inclusive Education.
The municipality thus reinforces its commitment to education as a priority for local development, promoting a culture of merit and valuing knowledge. The initiative also acknowledges the work of schools, teachers, families, and the educational community.
