The Municipality of Câmara de Lobos will support the participation of eight students from the council in the 20th edition of the Junior University, a summer course project organized by the University of Porto, taking place from July 13th to 17th.
The students were selected based on their merit and academic performance, representing four educational institutions within the municipality. The local government will cover all travel, food, and accommodation expenses, ensuring the young participants have a valuable educational experience outside the region.
Education Councillor Sónia Brazão highlighted the event as a "unique and very special opportunity" for students to engage with an academic environment. Mayor Celso Bettencourt expressed the municipality's pride in these dedicated students, emphasizing the council's commitment to creating opportunities that recognize academic merit.
