The Center for Sociocultural and Agro-Forestry Development and Innovation (CDISA) is holding another edition of the ethnographic and community initiative 'Reaping by Moon, Threshing by Sun' next Wednesday.
The event will take place between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Quinta Leonor, on Caminho dos Murinhos, in Funchal. The initiative aims to preserve and promote regional agricultural heritage, highlighting the risks posed by field abandonment and climate change to traditional cereal reaping and threshing practices and knowledge.
According to CDISA, the event offers an opportunity to record and transmit ancestral knowledge, valuing Madeiran agricultural traditions. Participation is free and open to the public.
