The CDS-PP parliamentary group in Madeira, through deputy Sara Madalena, has submitted a motion of congratulation to Yann Cristóvão, a young driver of Madeiran descent who was crowned overall winner of the NASCAR Euro Series Rookie Challenge.
The title was secured in October at the season finals held at the Zolder circuit in Belgium. Cristóvão scored 382 points, winning two decisive rounds and taking first place in the final standings.
Born in France in 2007 to Madeiran parents, he began in karting before moving into car racing in 2025. If approved in plenary session, the regional assembly will formally notify the driver, his family, the Speedhouse team and the series organisers.
