Ema Aguiar of the Clube Naval do Funchal (CNF) finished third in the female Division B ranking at Semana do Atlântico 2026, the XII Cidade de Viana do Castelo Trophy, held from 23 to 25 October.
In the overall Optimist classification, Ema Aguiar placed 32nd among 139 sailors from 24 clubs in Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Malta and France. Five other CNF sailors also competed, with Beatriz Freitas finishing 69th, Laura Pascoal 74th, Henrique Neves 86th, Madalena Costa 101st and Vicente Farinha 119th.
The regatta served as a first competitive test for the athletes ahead of the 2026/2027 sailing season. The club thanked the host club, its technical staff and logistics partner Grupo Sousa for their support.
