Marítimo president, Carlos André Gomes, expressed sorrow over the death of José Milagres, a historic figure of the club.
Affectionately known as 'Txitxo', Milagres dedicated over four decades to the club's youth divisions. Gomes described him as a "true lion of the Admiral", emphasizing his resilience and kindness.
The official also recalled Milagres' habit of distributing sweets to young athletes before matches. "Mr. Milagres will always be a unique figure and will endure in the memory of those who contacted him daily. Peace to his soul," concluded Carlos André Gomes.
